    1. Hello,

Although the slowdown is global, Alibaba may mostly be impacted in it's overseas business in USA if at all.

Perhaps President Evans is pointing to what people may want to hear.

Apple and all American companies will hurt more than Alibaba ever could. Because China is very robustly doing way more business with Russia, EU, Latin America, Africa, Pakistan, India etc than it ever did a decade ago.

There may be some short term volatility in sales or profits or stocks in China but long term most are pretty good.

I had warned that if Trump does not pull the tariffs back when he started them in March 2018, everyone globally will pay the price. That is exactly what is occurring.

But am glad that all bankruptcies like Sears, PG&E, Toys R Us, Bon Ton etc, job cuts in Ford, banks etc, Teachers strikes in LA, daily shootings, Govt shutdown, cut down in military by withdrawing from Syria and Afghanistan, growing evidence that Trump works for Russia etc are happening in USA and not in China.

However, the least suffering will be by Chinese companies because bulk of their business is done inside China while most other large nations by default depend on foreign buying or exports or oil or whatever else.

China is most "insulated" from the rest of the world and whoever is not insulated will hurt the most.

      Hope this helps.

      Thank you.
